Term 3 Week 10- Predictors Healthy Lunch Options
During the second half of this term the Summarizers have been reading about what makes a healthy meal. We have learnt about carbohydrates, fats, and proteins, and we even found about about the different nutrients within some food. We then used this knowledge to design a healthy lunch meal, and made some short cooking show videos about them. Check them out below!
Healthy Sandwich
I made a healthy sandwich because the ingredients are all different colours which mean there are all different carbs, proteins, vitamins, fats and calories. By Emma Gibbens |
JASMINE'S HEALTHY SANDWICH
A healthy sandwich is a great simple meal for a healthy diet because it has a variety of colours which means more protein , less fat and more carbs , vitamins and calories. |
Katie's Salad
My recipe is healthy because the fruit have natural sugar in them, and not actual sugar. it is also healthy because it can help you lose weight. You can have this snack when you are in a hurry. A medium banana gives you 110 calories and an apple give you 15g of carbs. |
Pizza Blurb
The mini pizza is healthy because you can put really healthy things on it. My pizza uses healthy dough which I made myself. The toppings were selected for a healthy diet e.g. cheese, organic sauce, pineapple and ham. |
