Miss Buttle, Mr Wood and I were so impressed with the level of focus today in reading. We loved walking around and watching you all working hard, thinking about how to use your devices best for the purpose and using the different spaces around the zones. Congratulations team, what a stunning learning environment you have created. Thankyou for making us smile everyday. We are very proud of you all!

Today we taught our peers about algebra using Explain Everything, google presentations, quizzes, posters and whiteboard tables. Check it out... Red Zone students, please follow the link below to tell us what you are now thinking about Inquiry... Does it happen just once in the week or is it embedded in all curriculum areas? You have completed this at the beginning of the term and we want to see how your thinking has changed! Today we chose a selection if books we might like to read and share with others. Check out the photo below of our collection. Also, thanks to those who read us a story!
Look at all the amazing ways the children have been using their devices as part of the BYOD programme. Yesterday Stuart Hale joined us again and we had a great workshop where he showed us all sorts of fancy tricks on the app "Explain Everything". The children jumped in straight away and have already implemented some of these ideas. Check out how they have been using them today in maths to investigate you concepts and ideas...
Today Abby taught us all how to make a bird feeder by using old plastic bottles. This was part of Abby's homelearning investigations surrounding the environment and reusing materials. What a fabulous presentation Abby. It was very interactive and so much fun to make. I'm sure we will see lots of them in backyards around Rolleston.
